Iona Technologies Gains on 5x Average Volume

Shares of Iona Technologies(IONA) gained more than 7% on Tuesday as volume jumped almost 5x the 3-month daily average.

There were no news releases or other significant events that could be detected.

Iona provides web services-based integration software for enterprise information technology organizations.

The company’s revenue and profit numbers have been eratic over the last three years, but does hold almost $50 million in cash and no debt.

The company’s stock closed at $5.51, only 1.96% away from its 52 week high of $5.62 reached the same day.
