PRICE/VOLUME SPIKE: Converted Organics Inc (COIN)

Converted Organics Inc (NASDAQ: COIN) has just seen a major price surge. The small micro-cap company has a mere $34 million market capitalization rate, and that is after a 17% price spike. At $6.21 at 10:48 AM EST we have now already seen close to an average day’s volume. So far we have seen 390,000 shares trade hands, while an average day sees about 420,000 shares.

The reason for the spike in the natural soil amendment products combining nutritional and disease suppression characteristics operator is a CNBC feature of it along with several others that are benefiting from the increased yield demands of fertilizer and anything related to crop yields.

This one has quite literally been all over the place before as its 52-week trading range is $2.14 to $16.30. The company was founded in 2003, so don’t assume there is a decade of operating history here.
