VMware Sympathy Spike: Citrix Systems (VMW, CTXS)
Posted in GeneralJuly 8th, 2008
You have already seen the volume spike in VMware (NYSE: VMW) after its CEO is out immediately and after its guidance was being deemed as “talked down” this morning. One other company involved in virtualization, via its 2007 acquisition of XenSource, is Citrix Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: CTXS). Citrix shares are down about 2.1% at $27.90 in sympathy with VMware. Virtualization is still a small part of its total operations, but its shares are now lower than when it acquired XenSource in 2007.
