Price/Volume Tanker: Focus Media (FMCN)
Posted in GeneralFocus Media Holding Ltd. (NASDAQ: FMCN), a Chinese advetising agency for online, outdoor, and print ads, is seeing its stock getting crushed this morning. Shares are down 34% at $10.69 as 8:38 AM EST this morning after the company posted earnings. Unfortunately it gave light earnings and issued weak guidance for the quarter ahead. The company noted a massive drop off after the olympics and the global slowdown is taking its toll on the operations.
We have seen over 110,000 shares trade hands, but be advised that this stock normally trades about 3.9 million shares per day. We’d expect a severe increase in trading volume to come into play here as the opening bell gets closer and closer.
This is also a new 52-week low as the prior range was $12.01 to $60.73. You have to go back almost 5 years to see this stock price.
