Analyst Call Stock Gappers (ARNA, XOM, OXY, SPWRA, KG, LM, POWI)

There are several stocks this morning seeing rather large moves based on analyst calls rather than on news out of the companies themselves.  These are the price change indications as of 8:25 AM EST:

  • Arena Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ARNA) Cut to Sell from Hold at Canaccord Adams; shares down almost 4%.
  • Exxon Mobil (NYSE: XOM) Started as Buy at Citigroup; shares up 0.7%.
  • Occidental Petroleum (NYSE: OXY) Cut to Neutral at Credit Suisse; shares down 0.5%.
  • SunPower (NASDAQ: SPWRA) Cut to Underweight at Morgan Stanley; shares down almost 4%.
  • King Pharma (NYSE: KG) Raised to Overweight at Wachovia; shares indicated up 2% to 3% but no volume as of 8:25 AM EST
  • Legg Mason (NYSE: LM) Cut to Underperform at B of A Merrill; shares indicated down 1% to 2% pre-market but no volume as of 8:25 AM EST.
  • Power Integrations (NASDAQ: POWI) Cut to Sell at Piper Jaffray; shares indicated down 1% to 2% pre-market but no volume as of 8:25 AM EST.
