Premarket Alert: Sanofi-Aventis falls on drug safety worry (SNY)

Sanofi-Aventis (SNY) shares are down about 3% in active premarket trading just ahead of the open at 9:20 am. Eastern. The worry is that there may be negative headlines coming soon in a major medical journal that may show an increased cancer risk associated with its Lantus insulin treatment. As a result, Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan cut their ratings on the stock this morning. — Mike Tarsala.
