PREMARKET ALERT: Mylan Labs (MYL, AZN)

Mylan Laboratories Inc. (NYSE: MYL) shares are up 3 percent to $12.65 with more than 22,000 shares changing hands as of 8:45 a.m. Eastern, after the FDA granted the company an abbreviated new drug application to make a generic version of the AstraZeneca (NYSE: AZN) prostate cancer treatment called Casodex.
