PREMARKET ALERT: Align Technology (ALGN)

Align Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: ALGN) shares rose 17 percent to $1.11 on active after-hours volume of more than 44,000 shares. The dental products company reported second-quarter EPS of 7 cents a share, or 6 cents better than expectations. It guided third-quarter EPS in a range of 3 to 5 cents a share, above analyst expectations of 5 cents. — Mike Tarsala
