PREMARKET ALERT: AT&T (T)

AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) shares are up more than 3 percent to $25.64 in premarket trading of about 75,000 shares shortly after 7:30 a.m. Eastern. The telecommunications company posted second-quarter EPS of 54 cents a share, or 3 cents better than consensus expectations. The company increased wireless subscribers in the quarter by 1.4 million to 79.6 million. The company reported record-low average monthly subscriber churn of 1.09 percent. — Mike Tarsala
