PREMARKET ALERT: Idenix Pharmaceticals (IDIX)

Idenix Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: IDIX) shares fell more than 17 percent to $4.10 with nearly 19,000 shares traded after hours. The company reported a loss of 28 cents a share, 3 cents wider than analyst expectations. The company says it has enough cash to fund operations through at least the first quarter of 2010. — Mike Tarsala
