PREMARKET ALERT: Keycorp (KEY)

KeyCorp (NYSE: KEY) shares are up 2.7 percent to $5.22 on premarket volume of more than 100,000 shares as of 9 a.m. Eastern, after the company was upgraded to an Outperform rating at boutique research firm Keefe Bruyette. The brokerage argues that the bank’s capital position is strong and that the stock is cheap relative to peers. — Mike Tarsala
