Volume Spike Investor

Orexigen Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: OREX) is seeing a surge in trading volume and and in price this morning.  Shares are up 25% at $7.15 on more than 105,000 shares in early pre-market trading at 8:15 AM EST.  This is almost  never a pre-market volume alert stock as its average volume is only about 485,000 shares for an average full trading day.  Its 52-week range is $1.55 to $12.28.  The news creating the surge is that its Contrave drug candidate obesity trials met the Co-Primary and Key Secondary endpoints as well as exceeded the FDA efficacy benchmark for obesity treatments. -JON OGG
