Novavax, Inc. (Nasdaq: NVAX) is soaring on high volume.  The company has manufactured a virus-like particle vaccine candidate against the H1N1 pandemic influenza virus (Swine Flu) under current good-manufacturing practices in the Rockville, MD facilities in only 11 weeks after receiving the gene sequence for the H1N1 strain from the CDC….  Novavax has produced essential reagents for measuring vaccine potency and also has plans to produce additional batches of the pandemic H1N1 VLP vaccine to support human clinical studies. Shares are up a sharp 23% at $5.76 in trading as of 8:15 AM EST on 657,000 shares.  This looks like it will actually mark a 52-week high and average volume is about 5.3 million shares as of now.  -JON OGG
