Volume Spike Investor

We are looking into some unusual options trading activity in Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE).    As of 11:00 AM EST we have seen some 47,000 PFE AUG $13 CALLS traded today alone versus a prior open interest of a mere 120 contracts.  Out in September expiration, we have seen 10,500 of the SEPT $11 Calls trade versus a prior open interest of 10 contracts.  Also traded was 100,000 contracts of the SEPT $12 Calls versus a prior open interest of 1,718 contracts. Pfizer shares are down 1.3% at $15.7 on somewhat light volume of 16.5 million shares as of 11:00 AM EST… -JON OGG
