Volume Spike Investor

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) blew away numbers at $0.64 EPS vs. $0.06 estimates.  We are seeing a 6.8% gain at $61.80 to a new 52-week high (prior range $21.71 to $58.20) and as of 8:11 AM EST we have already approached 600,000 shares trade hands.  That compares to over 12 million shares on average, but is very active for a NYSE-listed stock. -JON OGG
