Mesa Air Tickles Penny Stock Traders (MESA)

Mesa Air Group Inc. (NASDAQ: MESA) is a penny stock, so caveat emptor….

Traders are posting this penny stock around on message boards on the news that Mesa and Republic have combined their Hawaii routes.  This closed at a whopping $0.25 yesterday and shares at 8:30 AM EST are trading up 16% at $0.29 (52-week range $0.01 to $0.56) on about 300,000 shares.  Average volume is over 8 million shares but that is because of some super-volume days before.  Average volume in the last 5 sessions has been only about 2.4 to 2.5 million.
