McDonald’s Growth From Overseas (MCD)

McDonald’s Corp. (NYSE: MCD) is likely going to accelerate in trading volume as we get closer to the opening bell.  The Golden Arches reported October same store sales of +3.3%. It noted that  U.S. comparable sales were relatively flat but continued to outpace sales of peers and competitors. In Europe, comparable sales rose 6.4%; Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa showed +4.7%.

Shares were up over 1% on the news but at 8:32 AM EST we have shares up 0.8% at $62.20 on about 25,000 shares.  Its year high is $64.46.  This total sales figure was above estimates, but we would point out that most analysts will use the U.S. figure before they use the international figure in their first round of data analysis.
