Positive Vaccine Data Propels Geron (GERN)

Geron Corporation (NASDAQ: GERN) is trading higher on data being presented as interim clinical data on Its Telomerase Vaccine over at the 2009 American Society of Hematology Meeting.  Its study on the autologous dendritic cell vaccine targeting Telomerase in leukemia patients (AML patients) who are in complete clinical remission.  Geron met endpoints of safety and tolerability and a number of high risk patients have entered the extended boost phase of the vaccination regimen who have been in remission for a period ranging from four months to nearly two years.  At 8:18 AM EST we have shares trading up 5.5% at $6.10 on 49,000 shares.
