Wells Fargo Wins on TARP Exit (WFC)

At 8:04 AM EST we have seen almost 4 million shares trade in Wells Fargo & Co. (NYSE: WFC).  By now you know the news… it is joining Citi and BofA in repaying the TARP.  Its tally is $25 billion.  Shares are up 2% at $25.94 versus a 52-week trading range of $7.80 to $31.53 and average daily volume of 44 million shares.  Shares were raised to Market Perform at KBW last night ahead of this morning’s trading.  As the news came out later in the after-hours session, there is little after-hours comparison available.  Unfortunately, there is nothing much more to say on this one. -Jon Ogg
