AMD Topped Out For Now
Posted in pre-marketApril 16th, 2010
Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NYSE: AMD) returned to profitability with $0.09 in non-GAAP EPS versus an expected loss. The problem is that the guidance failed to impress.
AMD was originally up in the after-hours session, but as has been the case many times its guidance disappointment sent shares from being up to being down. This traded 5,101,811 shares in the after-hours session and the last trade was down 4.8% at $9.67.
The 52-week range is $3.17 – $10.24 and average trading volume is over 20 million shares.
At 8:35 AM EST we have shares down 4.7% at $9.68, but only 200,000 shares have traded hands.
