DynCorp Buyout Surge (DCP)

Posted in pre-market
April 12th, 2010

DynCorp International Inc. (NYSE: DCP) is soaring.  Cerberus is acquiring the government contracting firm.  DynCorp holders are set to receive $17.55 in cash for each share of DynCorp International.  This comes to a premium of approximately 49% over the $11.75 closing bell price on April 9, 2010. At 8:21 AM EST shares are up 48% at $17.46 on 130,000 shares.  The prior 52-week range is $10.10 to $22.03, so there may be some holders who do not feel they are getting made whole here in this private equity buyout.
