iGATE’s S&P Boost (IGTE)

iGATE Corp. (NASD: IGTE) is getting a boost in the after-hours session.  A press release from S&P notes that the company will replace Actel Corp. (NASD: ACTL) in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index

The addition is fairly close by as well as the addition will be made after the close of trading on Monday, November 1.

Microsemi Corp. (NASD: MSCC) is acquiring Actel in a deal expected to be completed soon, pending final approvals and conditions.

Shares are up nearly 6% at $21.50 in the after-hours session and this marks a 52-week high if it holds.  The prior range was $8.75 to $20.68.  iGATE has traded only about 12,100 shares so far in the after-hours as of 5:55 PM EST.
